Other Craft Ideas include
Collage, we have lots of things to glue eg patty cake cases, tissue paper, sequins
Shape collage - have basic shapes cut out (or older children can cut them out themselves) and let the children experiment and make pictures eg house, car, train
Contact collage - take a piece of contact, peel off half the backing paper, place your collage pieces on the contact. You could use sequins, glitter, tissue paper etc. Peel the rest of the contacts backing paper off and fold over the collage.
Sand/glitter collage - use glue to make a picture/shape on paper, sprinkle the sand or glitter over the glue and then shake off the excess to reveal your picture. Sand can also be coloured (1 cup of sand, 1/4 cup of water, food colouring. add the food colouring to the water then add the sand, let it sit for around 10 minutes, put it in the sun to dry. when it is dry it is ready to use)
Coloured sand can be incorporated into a collage eg a fish bowl/ocean picture. you could use green or blue sand as the ocean, cut fish shapes out of coloured paper or use fish stickers, celephane and bubble wrap can be used as sea weed
Crayon rubbing - put something textured under a piece of paper, using the side of a crayon rub over the paper to reveal an imprint of what is underneath. ideas of things to use are money, leaves, sandpaper cut into shapes, feathers, the Pre School have some crayon rubbing templates
